you can do the rails to trails plus college hill which is so peaceful! I’ll start at 37th st and continue past Geneva down the hill to the trail. I’m with Bethany!

This is great!! I ran Cross country for 5 years for Center and we used to do what we called either “Short Beaver” or “Long Beaver” short beaver consisted of driving down and doing exactly your river run is. while Long beaver included getting off at Buffalo and adding a loop around the cemetery. Great runs. I also highly recommend the Center CC trail as a great mix of hills and track…. it’s split kind of evenly between pavement, soft track and some good rough hills for a 5 k..

Nice! I usually do the Beaver VFD 10k every year. Oddly enough, I’ve run more than a few races here by mistake while trying to get my daily runs in and happening upon a race in progress.

I love running down the Rails to Trails path in Beaver Falls. There’s a cul-de-sac that starts behind the Geneva College soccer field/track (also nice to run on – open to the public when there aren’t practices) that connects up to the sidewalks on Seventh Avenue then drops you down to the continuation of the trail starting at the beginning of Sixth Avenue. There is beautifully kept landscaping down the trail with a paved road (good for running, walking and/or biking) and it drops you out at the baseball fields just before the railroad tracks and the river. In the Fall, the run is just spectacular with the hills of the valley and the river in the background.

Thank you for this great article! I’m in East Liverpool Ohio but I love Beaver County so much. These are great suggestions and I’ve done the Beaver run for the Women’s Center 5k run and it is a very nice scenic run. Looking foreword to getting ultra there again!

Great list! I have run all of these places and agree with you. If you want a killer hill go out to Brush Creek…there’s a hill in the back that used to be my nemesis 🙂
