Funny Story: Remember a few weeks ago when Ana wrote a story about Beaver County’s All-American Linebacker and took a few shots at Marc for not getting the scoop on a sports-related story? Well, Mr. Grandinetti, I’ve got one of those stories myself…so it looks like you missed out on another one. 🙂

So we have a pretty simple policy at Bowser’s Restaurant. If you’ve been a regular customer for years and you ask for a donation to whatever cause is important to you, we do our best to help out as much as we can. Of course, we also get literally hundreds of these requests every month, but we really do try to give back as much as we can.

But this isn’t a story about a local business giving back. I don’t think that’s a story. That’s just what you are supposed to do. It’s not something to write about.

What IS something to write about, is when you donate a few bucks to help out a local girls softball team, and then those girls come back a few months later with a big old trophy and say, “Thanks for making this possible.”

That’s character…and good parenting.

So I am proud to report that the Valley Rage 10U Traveling Softball Team went up to New York a few weekends ago and took home this first place trophy, largely due to a monster 3-run homer by our girl Hunter Newman.

If you know Hunter’s dad, Tobias, he’s probably already showed you to videos from the tournament. But just in case you run into him and he hasn’t, you gotta see that big shot. Wow!

Congrats to Hunter and all the girls on the Valley Rage 10U Traveling Softball Team. You can see their trophy collection on display at Bowser’s for a limited time!
