  • Beaver County Bellies This article is sponsored by our friends at Beaver County Auto. Beaver County is a melting pot, filled with ingredients found all over the world, who have come here to stew and simmer and create our own flavor of people. These flavors are showcased in YBC’s many articles, filled with foods from local eateries. I […] Whitney Scelp

  • Another Recent Addition to Bridgewater: Beaver Bagel Co Next up on the "Beaverhausen 2016 Tour of Bridgewater," yet another new business! You may have heard me rave about them in a few of my past articles, but I assure you that it is all true. Beaver Bagel Co has opened its doors! Bagel lovers throughout the county, rejoice! No longer do we have to settle for some crappy bagels in plastic bags that have probably been sitting on a store shelf for weeks. And we sure don’t have to drive to get subpar chain bakery bagels anymore. These are handmade, local, and really the best you will have in, well, ever? That is a Beaverhausen guarantee, folks. • El Paso: The Best Mexican Restaurant in Beaver County I had heard about this place called El Paso for at least a few years, but never actually made it there until just this past fall. Since then, the #11 Dinner Combo has become a staple of my diet…along with those complimentary chips and salsa! Andrew Selby

  • The Mississippi Chicken Shack in Beaver Falls Has Moved to a New Location! Since my first visit to the Mississippi Chicken Shack is still on of my favorite stories that we’ve published over the years, I tend to reshare it on Facebook from time to time. And on one of those recent shares, someone pointed out that the shack has since moved to a new location. I’ve been trying pretty hard to stick to my diet, but this was just too good of an opportunity to pass up, so I jumped in the YBC-mobile on Saturday afternoon and set out to find the NEW Chicken Shack. • Taco Stop: Beaver County’s New Taco Truck! While food trucks are not new, there is a new breed that has emerged over the last few years. Delicious, gourmet food out of a truck – Nothing like that South Side street meat you would eat at 2 am in your younger days. This new food truck is fresh and enticing, and you just […] Anastastia Beaverhausen

  • Soup-Herb Sproutz (That New Healthy Place in Beaver) You know what Beaver was missing? A spot to grab a quick bite to eat that is on the healthier side. You know what Beaver has now? That very thing! After much anticipation (and maybe a little peeking through the papered windows), Soup-Herb Sproutz finally opened. Many of my Facebook friends checked in there but […] Anastastia Beaverhausen

  • Beaver County’s Hidden Gems: Eric’s Gourmet Take-Out I feel like I say this in every single article I write anymore, but Your Beaver County has had a really profound impact on my day-to-day life over the past eight months. I’m constantly out in the community meeting new people. Everyone makes a point to keep me informed of new businesses opening around town. […] Andrew Selby

  • The Backdoor Tavern: A True Craft Beer Haven Back when craft beer was just known as “good beer,” the Backdoor Tavern in Fallston was serving some of the best beer around. When I first started getting into craft beer over what’s usually served on dollar bottle night, this was the first craft beer bar I visited. Fast forward to today, and The Backdoor […] Brian Meyer

  • The Palms Brazilian Steakhouse: Not Your Average Buffet There’s a simple philosophy I have when determining whether a restaurant is good or great. Friendly service, atmosphere, beer selection, and of course being kid friendly are the obvious factors when deciding. What trumps all of that, is the ability to have quality and quantity coexist in perfect harmony. The Palms Brazilian Steakhouse has done just […] Corey Allinder

  • The Lebanese Club: Authentic Middle Eastern Cuisine My introduction to Middle Eastern cuisine was nowhere near picture perfect.  In retrospect, it plays out like an episode of Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods. In my defense, I was about 8 years old and a very picky eater. On Fridays, My grandfather would treat my brother and I to dinner at the Lebanese Club. He […] Corey Allinder

  • Sakura Japanese Steakhouse (The One in Monaca) I’m not sure why it took me so long to get there, but I finally made it to Sakura this weekend. Since it opened a few weeks ago I have been hearing nothing but good things about the new Japanese Steakhouse. • Yama Japanese Restaurant One’s relationship with sushi can be described as love-hate: either you really, really love it, or you hate it. There is no in between. Fortunately, sushi fans in Beaver County don’t have to travel far. Yama Japanese Restaurant, located in downtown Beaver, is the leader of the pack when it comes to eating sushi locally. • Bowser’s Restaurant – Yinz Want Fries On ‘at? There are few things I love more than a good beer and a great sandwich. The beer needs to be craft and the sandwich has to be Pittsburgh-style with hot crispy fries all over it and a healthy dose of slaw on it for good measure. Since 1993 Bowser’s Restaurant in Center Twp. has been […] Brian Meyer
