Here are some great local events, fundraisers, and causes you might want to consider supporting over the next few weeks:

Sixth Annual Dinner Dance

John and Rachel Book will be holding their Sixth Annual Dinner Dance event at Center Stage on Saturday March 21, 2015. This year, the event will benefit the Courage for Life Foundation.

If you have ever been to one of their fundraiser events, you already know to expect a great time filled with plenty of amazing Chinese auction and silent auction items.

The theme this year is “St. Patrick’s Day,” so everyone will be decked out in their best green attire. Doors open at 6 pm. Dinner is served at 7 pm. Your $45 ticket price includes dinner, dancing, and an open bar from 6 pm to midnight!

Sunday, March 15 is the last day to make your reservations, so if you are interested in attending you should contact John or Rachel immediately:

Tracie Nicastro and Family

Travie was on her way to making a full recovery from a brain tumor before things took a turn for the worse in December. The family has since been overwhelmed with medical expenses, travel expenses, and lost income.

There has already been a tremendous outpouring of support for the Nicastro Family, but they still have a longĀ road of recovery ahead of them and every bit helps.

Service Dogs for Patients

There is an ongoing campaign to raise money for a five-year-old girl named Hailey who has suffered through an enormous amount of medical problems.

The funds will be used to provide the family with a medical alert dog that will be specially trained dog that can monitor her blood sugar levels and watch for other medical issues that might threaten her.
