It’s 5 pm. You just left work, and haven’t decided on what you’re doing for dinner. You haven’t been to the grocery store yet, and the only thing you can eat at home is a bowl of cereal. What should you do? If you live in Hopewell, Aliquippa, or Center stop by Two Chefs Catering and Coffee House on Brodhead Road. It hasn’t even been open for six months, yet it’s garnering good reviews and a solid reputation for people needing a quick, go-to meal.

Two Chefs, owned by local residents Dan Falk and Vic Mannella, has a rotating, daily menu that offers up fresh, made-to-eat specials. While driving home from work, I checked their Facebook page (@Hopewelltwochefs) to see what they had that day. On this particular Thursday, it was linguini with fresh veggies and grilled chicken. It sounded like a can’t miss, and it wasn’t. For $4.95 plus tax, you really can’t beat the value, taste, and portion size. Did it blow me away? No. But it was good enough to make me want to keep visiting this place at least once a week for a quality meal. In addition to the pasta, they had a BBQ pulled pork and cheddar panini for the same price, and it too looked delicious. I also made visits to Two Chefs on two other occasions where I’ve eaten their rosemary chicken, mixed vegetables, and wedding soup. It would be unfair to compare their wedding soup to my mother’s (she makes the best I’ve ever had), but it was still pretty good.

Two Chefs serves certain foods every day of the week: meatballs, hot sausage, mac ’n cheese, a cheesesteak, pasta and wedding soup. And then their daily, made-to-eat menu changes every day. It’s always something different, which is nice when you’re looking for a variety of different things to try depending on the day. Their menu can be found on their Facebook page, or they have hard copies in the store. Two Chefs also has limited seating inside if you’re too hungry to take your meal home.

The second part of the Two Chefs name, “coffee house,” is located on the righthand side once you enter. If you’re out of K-cups or want a fresh cup of coffee on your way to work, Two Chefs is a good place to pop into for a quick cup. If you’re like me and drink espresso, they make that, too. There are very few places in Beaver County where you’ll find a better brew. Their coffee is specially roasted for them by Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea Company. In addition to coffee and espresso, you can also find scones, cookies, and muffins.

If you haven’t been to Two Chefs yet, I suggest you stop by. I look forward to my next meal from there, and I’m sure this will be one of my “go-to” spots in the future when I’m pressed for time or just simply don’t feel like cooking. They’re located at 2405 Brodhead Road in Hopewell. If you don’t want to take my word for it, they have 133 reviews on Facebook for a 4.9 rating. For a list of daily specials, check them out on Facebook or give them a call 724-203-0284.
