We have a ridiculous number of outstanding restaurants to choose from here in Beaver County. And for someone like me, who eats out most everyday, all of these options are a fantastic blessing.
But while there are dozens and dozens of places where you can get a great meal in Beaver County, we all know that some of them are a little bit faster than others. When I am flipping through lunch options in my head on any given day, how fast I can expect to be in and out of a place is definitely one of my major concerns.
With that focus on speed in mind, here are my top five places to grab a quick lunch in the BC:
5. The Backdoor Tavern
I just love the fish at the Backdoor. For my money, it’s the best in Beaver County. And another thing I love is that I can pop in on a Friday afternoon, grab a seat at the bar, and the fish is ready only a few minutes after I place the order.
If you insist on getting a table or going later in the evening, you are probably going to have to wait a bit longer. But if you are in a hurry, grab a seat at the bar and tell TJ to get that fish going.
4. Bert’s Wooden Indian
Another full service restaurant that has always done right by me in terms of quick service is Bert’s Wooden Indian. This place is jam-packed for lunch just about every day, but the kitchen staff is always firing out the food quick and they are experts at getting people in and out in a hurry.
In addition to being a quick spot for lunch, the food at Bert’s has always been amazingly consistent. The French onion soup is the best around, the hot roast beef is delicious, and those baked chicken salads are the perfect choice for a healthy lunch. The only issue I have ever had here is that I constantly forget that they aren’t open on Monday.
3. Jerry’s Curb Service
It’s obviously a whole lot more fun to hang out a Jerry’s Curb Service in the evening on weekends to watch all the locals showing off their awesome cars, but those of us who frequent Jerry’s on weekdays are always treated to lightning quick service.
About once a month, when I have a bad Wednesday morning that requires throwing my diet out the door, I head over to Jerry’s and crush an order of Steak and Fries with Italian Dressing. Just like that, everything is better.
2. Antony’s Pizzeria
Not only is Antony’s Pizzeria one of Corey’s Top Five Pizza Spots in Beaver County, it is also a place where you can grab some killer pizza in a hurry. Because they have everything par-cooked at Antony’s, it often takes longer to walk into the mall than it does to grab my Bacon Cheeseburger and Pepperoni slices.
1. El Paso Mexican Grill
I wouldn’t fault you for arguing that any of the places on this list deserve to be #1, but for me it has to be El Paso Mexican Grill in Chippewa. The deciding factor in my book was the simple fact that I rarely go a full week without swinging through El Paso at least once.
On most weekday afternoons, the food here comes out so quickly that I don’t even have time to finish that bowl of complimentary chips that I can get enough of. And El Paso isn’t a one-trick-pony either, because the food is also delicious and really affordable. This might be quick lunch heaven.
While I couldn’t make the argument to put them ahead of 1-5 on this list, it is definitely worth noting that Hank’s, Yama, and Taiwan 101 are all pretty quick options for lunch as well. You definitely won’t find yourself waiting around for too long at any of those spots either.
And as if all of this quick lunch talk wasn’t enough, Ana just informed me that our friends down at Vic’s Oven in Bridgewater are going to start selling pizza by the slice with a focus on getting lunch customers in and out quickly.
