The Beaverhausen’s just went through the deeeelightful process of house hunting and moving, all with the help of Debo Movers, Pete at MLS, and a loootttt of help from our realtor. A red-headed superhero, Gretchen Kelley with Howard Hanna in Beaver knows her stuff. She not only sold our house but also found us our new place too.

Another big bonus of Gretchen – she is not afraid to go into scary dark basements first. Not that we are scaredy cats or anything.. In our defense, you don’t really know how spooky some of these old houses can be until you are in them. At night. In the dark. shuttering Our motto became ‘Gretchen Goes First!” and she did, and we never heard any complaining. Realtor extraordinaire, folks.

While we are no longer looking, Gretchen is still out there selling and I wanted to give her and a few of her awesome houses a little showcasing!

1024 5th Street

First up, a beautiful home in the heart of downtown Beaver! Parks and shopping are only a short walk away. Less than 2 blocks from the High School (and, more importantly, less than 1 block from Spagnolas!!), 1024 5th Street is a perfect home for anyone looking in town.

The house boasts a huge kitchen, powder room, large dining and living rooms with newly refinished hardwood floors and tons of natural light. The upstairs was completely gutted and remodeled! The master bedroom has two generously sized closets and more of those beautiful hardwood floors. The second bedroom and captive third were also gutted to the studs and redone, and both have newer carpet. The bathroom has a double sink and a newly tiled shower.

When you make your way outside, you will find a fully fenced in yard (this is rare in town, folks!) that leads you to a newer two car garage with electric and cable (did someone say garage party??). It also has newer windows, air conditioning and furnace too. This one needs to be on your list to see.

It was just listed early last week and won’t last on the market long. There is an open house this Sunday, March 20th, from 1-4pm. It is listed for $187,000.

2794 Patterson Drive

Next, an adorable cape cod in Hopewell! 2794 Patterson Drive has an open concept kitchen and dining room, making it very roomy. It comes equipped with stainless steel appliances and solid surface countertops too. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a third (the master bedroom) on the upper floor with a very generous sized closet attached.

Outside is a composite deck and a nice sized back yard – Nothing too big, but plenty of space to enjoy the grass between your toes (if it ever gets warm and stays warm!). But, if it doesn’t ever warm up, there is a stone fireplace in the living room that’s sure to keep you cozy. A one car garage is attached and the basement is partially finished but totally dry.

This house is listed for $139,000. Fill out the form below if you want some additional information on this property, or to make an appointment to see it.

3083 Brodhead Road, Center Twp.

Another cutie of Gretchen’s is 3083 Brodhead Road in Center. It’s a huge cutie, too! Five bedrooms, three baths.. It has plenty of space for all of your people.

Upstairs has three of the bedrooms, with an updated family bathroom and another bath off of the master bedroom. Also on main floor is a stone fireplace and large windows looking out over the surrounding woods. Downstairs is a walkout basement, with two bedrooms.. And when you walk out? There is a hot tub. Oh yeah.

The property is zoned as a C-1, which to be honest, I had no idea what that meant. Gretchen explained that it is available for some commercial uses – and that there is a pretty long list of those uses. You should call Center Township if you have a specific business in mind.

This house is listed for $159,000. Again, fill out the form below with questions or to see this beauty!

Her main goals in life are making sure everyone lives through the week, the house doesn’t end up condemned, and teaching two (so far) small people how to “people” properly.
