Three Great Reasons to TryFly Girls Aviation Cafe

Tired of sitting inside a boring old restaurant with absolutely zero atmosphere? Want to gobble up your breakfast or house a delicious sub with a little ambiance? Look no further than one of Beaver County’s hidden gems, the Fly Girls Aviation Café.

Located AT the Beaver County Airport, Fly Girls brings a truly unique dining experience that you can’t get anywhere else in the area. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a show as you watch local pilots practice their take-off’s, landings, and fine tune their flying skills.

Fly Girls is open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and serve breakfast and lunch all day. I don’t know about you, but I’m a “breakfast all day” kind of girl, so any place where I can get eggs or pancakes in the middle of the afternoon has my complete attention.

What are 3 great things about Fly Girls?

#1: The Food

Their eggs are cooked to perfection, and they make a seriously authentic biscuits and gravy that will please all of our Southern-style readers…or anyone who loves sausage gravy. And who doesn’t enjoy a good breakfast burrito with a few pancakes on the side?

Lunch specials change from time to time, but they always have your classic subs and some delicious specialty sandwiches full of homemade meatballs, pulled pork, buffalo chicken, etc. You can also turn any of their sandwiches into a salad if you’re feeling a little on the healthy side, which I never do…

Their meatball subs are seriously amazing. They are warm, toasty, melty, and every other adjective you could possibly be hoping for. Go out and get yourself one.

Did I mention pie? I feel like I always mention pie. Anyway, they have delicious, seasonal homemade pies for you to choose from!

#2: The Price

Not only are you going to have a delicious meal regardless of what you’re in the mood for. You’re also going to get it at a seriously fantastic price! I hate when my little family of 3 goes out for breakfast and ends up spending $25 and we’re still hungry afterwards.

Not here. You’ll fill up your bellies without putting a strain on your wallet. YAY!

#3: The Atmosphere

Do you have a toddler who is obsessed with airplanes? A Dad who is an airport engineer and likes to spend time doing anything outdoors? A grandfather who was in World War II and might like airplanes more than your toddler?

Ok, maybe you don’t have all three like I do. But either way you’re in luck! Since Fly Girls is located at the Beaver County Airport, right next to the runway, you’re always sure to see something flying, whether it’s a small plane from flight-school, a helicopter practicing in the yard, or even an old bomber from decades past.

My monster’s favorite plane to check out is the Thunder Pig, and it’s a “must see” for any young ones you have who want to get their pictures snapped in the cargo bay or the cockpit.

They also have the fully stocked Air Heritage Museum so you can get your historical fix with a full belly.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Fly Girls is a real treat for the whole family. Take in the sights and sounds while you enjoy your food. And even if you’re not interested in airplanes or airports whatsoever, they have some seriously delicious grub at a fantastic price!

If you’re ever out in the Chippewa area and are tired of the same old chain restaurants, give Fly Girls a “test flight” and you won’t be disappointed!
