I have always felt like I have a pretty decent idea of what is popular out there in the world. But when it comes to toys, I am usually at least a few months behind the times. So when Christmas rolls around every year, I have to do a little research in order to stay hip and know what the kids are asking for.

In order to do just that, I usually just Google a bunch of phrases like “hottest toys of 2015” and “what the heck do you get a 3 month old baby that doesn’t actually do anything yet?” So far, that’s worked out well for me.

Since I’m already doing that work anyways, I thought it might be nice to share that with those of you out there who are equally as clueless as I am when it comes to what to buy the nieces, nephews, and grandkids for Christmas this year.

So with that, here are what appear to be the Top Five Holiday Toys of 2015.

5. Fisher Price Bright Beats Dance & Move BeatBo

This adorable little alien-looking guy from Fisher Price likes to shake his hips and nod his head while teaching kids about their ABC’s, colors, and counting. He can even record you or your toddler’s voice and mix it into his favorite songs.

4. Guitar Hero Live

Available for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii U, this is the latest edition of the extremely popular Guitar Hero video game series. I was always a big fan of video games as presents, and having the whole family playing Guitar Hero together is absolutely going to be a good time on Christmas Day!

3. Lego Dimensions Starter Pack

This is another video game option that is going to be perfect for the Lego-Maniac in your family. Available for all of the major video game systems, this starter pack provides physical lego characters and vehicles that players can place on the interactive board and then use right in the game.

2. Star Wars R2-D2 Interactive Robotic

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, there is a new Star Wars movie coming soon…which means that there will be tons of popular new Star Wars toys as well. The one that toy stores can’t seem to keep in stock this year is the ridiculously cool R2-D2 Interactive Robotic Droid.

This is the real deal. It’s your own little R2-D2 that is able to do tons of cool functions from a remote control. You might not be able to find these in stock at your local toy stores, but if you are willing to pay up above the list price, there are always going to be some available on Amazon.

1. Disney Frozen Sing-A-Long Elsa Doll

Last Christmas, getting your hands on anything from this popular Disney movie made for an awesome gift. Well not much has changed this time around. One of the most popular Frozen options this year is this Sing-A-Long Elsa Doll.

If you are looking to shop for toys in person, Castle Toys & Games in Beaver is the local business we love to recommend and support. They have tons of popular toys and can really help you find the perfect one for your nieces, nephews, and grandkids!
