On Saturday, October 4th, Rosalind Candy Castle in New Brighton will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary. In order to commemorate this landmark occasion, they are pulling out all the stops and have invited some pretty impressive guests to the party! In addition to the celebrity guest appearances and a local radio broadcast, there will also be a number of raffle prizes and great discounts on the best candy in Beaver County!
The festivities will kick off at 9:00 am when WBVP and WMBA show up for a remote broadcast complete with a prize wheel. Then the celebration will really heat up at 10:00 when former Penguin, two-time Stanley Cup Champion, and current Penguins broadcaster Phil Bourque begins a two-hour autograph session. Following Phil Bourque will be the current Miss Pennsylvania, Amanda Smith, who will be signing autographs from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
After the two autograph sessions, there will be a ton of great raffles at 3:00 pm to conclude the festivities. Raffle prizes will include Steelers Tickets, Rosalind Gift Certificates, and tons of candy! On top of all of that, there will also be crazy discounts on many of the most popular candy selections, and anyone who spends $30 or more will receive a free Rosalind Candy Tote Bag.
If you happen to run into me at the store on Saturday, I’m a total sucker for Rosalind’s Peanut Butter Meltaways and Chocolate Covered Pretzels. I plan on stocking up and hiding them somewhere my wife won’t be able to find them!
