It’s that time of year again.  In just a few days you will see tents lining the outdoor walking track at Brady’s Run Park.  That’s right, the Relay For Life of Brady’s Run is less than a week away, and is inviting all Beaver County Residents to come out for a day filled with fun, food and entertainment.  If you have ever driven past the park on Father’s Day Weekend and wondered what was going on, we are here to share all that will be taking place Saturday, June 17, 2017, 10 AM – 10 AM, at our “Party in the Park.”

Relay For Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society, but is so much more to the volunteers, families, friends, community members who have come together for more than 23 years to Celebrate survivors, Remember loved ones lost and Fight Back against cancer.  Relay weekend is a time for all of Beaver County to come together through ceremonies like our Survivor Celebration that starts at Noon or our luminaria vigil service that takes place at dusk.   Our day is filled with tears, even more laughs and tons of fun.

What you may not know about Relay is that it’s a Community Day OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and FREE ADMISSION.  Fundraising teams work hard to prepare onsite booths that include a wide variety of food sales and games and activities for all ages.  It addition, this community day features a 200 item Chinese Auction Tent.  The prizes seem to get more extravagant with each year.   Finally, we have a full line up of band performances throughout the day including; The Moore Sisters, Bridget and Bobby, Markella and Jerry and The Mudslingers.  For more details about this upcoming community event, follow us on facebook @ ACS Relay For Life of Brady’s Run.
