Marshall, Vogel Remind Veterans of Free Monthly Assistance Opportunities
CHIPPEWA – Rep. Jim Marshall (R-14) and Sen. Elder Vogel (R-47) would like to remind area veterans that their district offices host monthly veterans assistance hours in cooperation with American Legion Specialist Stephanie Bengoa. Bengoa provides assistance with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, health care issues and more.
Marshall hosts assistance hours on the first Thursday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans and their families in the 14th Legislative District. His office is located at 2811 Darlington Road, Suite 1, Beaver Falls.
On the fourth Wednesday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Vogel hosts assistance hours for veterans and their families in the 47th Senatorial District. His office is located at 488 Adams St., Rochester.
“Oftentimes, the programs, services and benefits offered to our veterans can be difficult to understand or access, and our service officer can help cut through the red tape and answer questions,” Marshall said. “I encourage area veterans to take advantage of this valuable service.”
“I am regularly asked by veterans of all ages for information related to benefits earned and navigating the VA,” said Vogel. “These office hours will be invaluable for veterans looking for a sit-down meeting with an expert in this area.”
The services are walk-in only. Veterans do not have to be a member of the American Legion to receive assistance.
