I am the owner of Lindsay J’s Cleaning Service, LLC. On September 1, 2014, Cindy Hupp of Hupp’s Cleaning retired and I accepted the new role as owner. I met Hupp in March of 2014 as I was getting my taxes done. While openly sharing my inner thoughts with my tax woman, I stated, “Maybe I’ll just start cleaning houses for a living.” Her reply to me was, “Well that woman right over there (Hupp) is selling her cleaning business.” It was a divine intervention! My mind was saying, “This is crazy.” But my gut was saying, “This IS the path that you are supposed to take.” At that time, I had been a Registered Nurse for about 10 years and was almost finished with my Master’s Program at Carlow University for Nurse Practitioner. Of course I finished the program and passed my board certification in December. Irrespective, I knew in my heart that I needed a change.

Recently, I have discovered that there are other needs in the community that I can offer, such as caregiving: assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) – bathing, dressing and eating, laundry, cooking, and grocery shopping. As a nurse, I have a knack for taking care of people. My hope is that I can incorporate caregiving services to my existing cleaning business. I am looking forward to this next chapter of my life in which I can meet new people, make lasting relationships, and be a blessing to so many!
