This past week I had the pleasure of meeting with Biba Circle, an agent for Re/Max, in the loveliest of communities! Nestled behind the hustle and bustle of Chippewa, Highland Meadows is a fantastic spot for anyone. From families with kids to professionals (and anyone in between), this area has the feel that could only be described as welcoming.  From my house in Beaver, it was 5.8 miles down the road, but it really seems like you are away from it all – without, you know, actually being away from it all! That is the perfect balance.

About Highland Meadows

A few facts about Highland Meadows: First, there are 84 custom built homes on two streets –Meadow Drive and Watson Trail. Each of these 84 homes sits on an average half acre lot. Let me tell you something about each lot…these lawns are so well maintained, the grass really is greener there! No kidding.

You know how normally you have that one neighbor…the one that doesn’t care about his/her lawn? Big dead spots and not much curb appeal? (full disclosure – that would be the Beaverhausen’s house.. so no judgment if  YOU are the neighbor) I didn’t see that guy’s house in Highland Meadows. These homes are so well manicured and cared for, it gives off such a warm and inviting vibe when you drive through.

Another fact about this neighborhood is that it is completely centrally located. No matter if you have to commute to Boardman, Cranberry, or Moon, you have easy access. Route 376, the PA Turnpike and Route 51 are all within a few minutes’ drive. Though the beauty is you can commute to those places and still only pay low Beaver County taxes! Finally, for those folks looking for a safe spot to raise kids, Blackhawk School District is A rated. Highland Middle School and Blackhawk Intermediate are right next door!

So, let’s actually take a look at two of the gorgeous homes in Highland Meadows that Biba has listed for sale!

133 Meadow Drive

This beauty has 5 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths and a ton of charm! The home is in pristine condition and is ready to be moved into. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and porcelain tile floor that opens into a living room with gas fireplace and lovely arched windows on either side that allow for so much natural light to enter! The dining room has a tray ceiling and is roomy, open and accessible to the kitchen and family room which invites everyone into the open floor plan.

Moving upstairs, vaulted ceilings make the master feel even bigger than it already is! There is a jacuzzi tub in the master bath too. That is MY kind of master suite! Another 3 very generous sized bedrooms are on the second floor as well as another full bathroom. There is a large deck off of the eat-in kitchen and a generous back yard with shed for storage.

What I really loved about this home was the finished basement. Really a finished basement, not just some flooring and furniture, folks. This basement has a living space, a full bathroom, a full KITCHEN, and a bedroom. Perfect space for an in-law suite or for a teenager (who would probably never leave home if they had this to live in!!).

You do not want to miss this house. It is listed for $349,900, and the seller is offering a granite countertop allowance of up to $5,000 if sold before the end of May! That is a very nice perk!

134 Meadow Drive

Next on our tour was 134 Meadow Drive, right across the street from the first house. You’d never know it though, because these houses are all custom and so unique. No cookie cutters here, folks!

134 Meadow Drive is a 4 bedroom, 3 ½ bath home with probably the best back yard in the plan! It opens to a view of the trees and Biba said the sunsets are just amazing. Inside you will find ceramic tile throughout the massive kitchen with custom cabinetry. This opens into the dining room with hardwood, and the living area with a gas fireplace. Moving through the kitchen, you find a perfect home office. Removed enough from the main portion of the house, it would allow for uninterrupted work time.

Upstairs there are 4 large bedrooms, two of which have vaulted ceilings and large windows that let in an abundance of natural light. The real highlight of the upstairs is the master bathroom. This room is bigger than my first apartment I think! And just when you think it couldn’t get much bigger, you open a door to the walk in closet. It honestly is the size of a bedroom. Huge!!

The scenic outside boasts a composite deck the length of the house with a pergola over a portion and a basketball court. There is a partially finished basement and plenty of room for storage too! This is another can’t miss home!! It is priced at $359,900.

If you are interested in seeing either (or both!) of these homes, they will be having open houses this Sunday, April 24 from 1 pm-3 pm! Stop in to tour both and meet Biba. Both homes (and Biba too!) will impress!

See These Houses For Yourself

If for some reason you can’t make the open houses on Sunday, April 24, just send us your contact info and Biba will be happy to schedule a viewing at a time that is more convenient for you!

Anastasia Beaverhausen is a married, stay-at-home mom of three kids. She was born, raised and still lives in downtown Beaver. Her main goals in life are making sure everyone lives through the week, the house doesn’t end up condemned, and teaching two (so far) small people how to “people” properly. In her free time, Ana enjoys running, knitting and gardening, although free time is a pretty tough thing to come by these days. Follow her on twiter @bcBeaverhausen!
