Our friends at Daman’s Strength Training in Beaver are ready to launch another installment of their most popular program ever, the Fit Moms Challenge. Just from talking about the program with DST owner Rick Daman and Coach Mary Futato, I can’t tell you how many lives are being impacted by the Fit Moms Challenge. I have gotten a complete sense of transformation for the women who complete Fit Moms. Everyone wants to see results. Everyone wants a “quick fix.” At DST, they’re delivering results in only four weeks. And it shows. Just look at the photos below from some of the latest participants. That’s because DST delivers a comprehensive program not only designed at crushing body fat, but also educating their members and participants on how to eat properly. We all know that one will not see tangible results without putting the right food into their body.
Again, we want to reiterate this program is not just open to mothers. It is open to any female. Any age. 18 or 55.

“Everyone has a story. Mine is this: I began this weight loss journey two years ago after deciding I could no longer limit myself from being over weight. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs until I joined the Fit Moms competition. I have to admit I was completely terrified to show up at Daman’s the first day, but I quickly learned it was a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Coach Mary is very wonderful, and any other time we worked with Coach Brian and Coach Rick they were just as wonderful. They all want to see you do well, and they all want to see you work. When you sign up for the challenge, you aren’t just signing up to work out three days a week at DST’s state-of-the-art facility in Beaver. You are getting much, much more. The Fit Moms have a private Facebook page where the coaching staff offers weekly nutritional advice. If you want to see results, you have to eat healthy, and the coaches will impress upon you the importance of this. “As a coaching staff, we know what new members are not doing in terms of nutrition,” said Rick Daman.
During the actual challenge, participants will be doing a variety of activities inside the 7,000 square foot gym on Georgetown Lane.
The first meeting will involve all of the participants who sign up. The coaches at DST will host a physical assessment, technique workshop, and nutritional meeting on Saturday, February 17th, at 7:30 am to lay the foundation and teach the basic elements of the program. Space is extremely limited, as their are only 10 spots available.
“Along with the workshop we will talk to them about what we suggest to do immediately to start seeing changes. The workshop itself will break down all of the technique they need to learn before we start any training,” Daman added. Participants will be completely prepared so when they start day one of the challenge they will be in total training mode.
Since this is a challenge, there has to be a winner, right? So how does one win the Fit Moms Challenge? Well, a few things happen before you actually begin so the coaches at DST are able to track tangible results. Every participant in the program will sign in with the female coaches at DST. Coach Dena Daman and Coach Mary Futato will take each member through an assessment so DST can track the results. At the end of the four week challenge, each participant will take the assessment again. Rick said, “Our goal is lower body fat percentage. The lower the better for each participant. We choose the winner based on percentage of fat loss and NOT weight loss.” Finally, the winner will receive a free two month membership to Daman’s Strength Training. Once again, this program is open to anyone, not just moms.
