Beaver County Running

My favorite season is just around the corner… fall!! And just around the corner from fall will be winter, and you know what that means? Christmas cookies!!! And just around the corner from that is New Years! And just around the corner from New Years? Bikini season!!

Look at that, we’ve made our way through the entire year! Sometimes it feels like it really does go that quick, so let’s get a jump start on that New Year’s resolution to have a bikini body by summer by kicking off ‘cool weather season’ with some cardio FUN!

And aside from all the fun, each of these races benefit a good cause! Check out these local charity runs and walks:

They provide college scholarships to dependents of enlisted personnel on active duty, who are retired, or are serving in the reserves. The Foundation funds recreational and family-oriented facilities, and supports the education and morale programs at bases and on ships around the nation. They also offer financial relief to Coast Guard families who lose their possessions in natural disasters, and when they suffer the ultimate loss, a loved one in the line of duty, provide scholarship and relief funds to support families during their most trying times.

Registration: I couldn’t find a direct registration link, but please contact Jairus Moore at 724-506-3524 or at j.jeromemoore@gmail.com for more information.

Additional Info: The Coast Guard Foundation Run to Remember is a worldwide movement that honors Coast Guard heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country. Last year, thousands of people participated in all kinds of fitness events including runs, walks, and bike rides to pay tribute to the lost members of the service.  Please join in the park at 8:45am (after registration, but before the race) for a Memorial Service and Public Speaker that will honor the members and legacy of those who have given their life in service to the United States Coast Guard.
