This week, the world was turned upside down by a phenomenon from New York City known as Pizza Rat. You may have heard about it on the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Colbert, The New York Times, GQ or a number of other media outlets. Needless to say, it was a major story and on Tuesday, Pizza Rat was the number 1 trending topic the World! (For real, THE WORLD.)
The Video
The video showed a small but abled bodied rat attempting to carry a full slice of pizza down a flight of steps. He didn’t quite make it the whole way, but it was a heroic attempt and both shocking and awe inspiring. Here’s a link.
Matt Little
Pizza Rat was filmed by Beaver County’s very own, Matt Little. A graduate of Blackhawk high school that now works as a standup comedian and actor in New York, Matt took the internet by storm.
From appearing on the MSNBC to being quoted in major publications, he was at the epicenter of the news cycle and handled it like a charismatic pro. Here’s an interview with him from GQ.
Da Burghcast
Your Beaver County’s own Burghcast scored an interview with Matt! We happened to have some friends of friends who knew him and were able to arrange for him to make a trip down to Da Burgh Cave to talk Pizza Rat, The Steelers and all things Pittsburgh.
Buxy and Bernie conduct the interview because unfortunately, Herb was busy camping at pymatuning. Sorry Herb, you missed out on a great one!
