bradys run park

Covering more than 2,000 acres and hosting a wide variety of events and activities, Brady’s Run Park is Beaver County’s largest park and a hub of local recreational activities. Here you will find typical park amenities like picnic shelters, playgrounds, nature trails, and a serene lake, but what makes Brady’s Run Park truly stand out are its unique amenities like an ice arena, indoor tennis facility, skate park, dog park, and its beautiful wedding and banquet facility.

Brady’s Run Park is located just north of Beaver Borough in parts of Brighton and Patterson Townships. You can get to the park right off of Route 51 on one side, and then from the Brighton township exit on I-376 at the other end of the park. Most park facilities are open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm seven days per week.

Ice Arena & Indoor Tennis Facility

As you enter Brady’s Run Park from Route 51, you will see a large building to your left that houses both the ice arena and the indoor tennis facility. The ice arena contains one full-sized rink that hosts public skating sessions, local hockey leagues, figure skating events, and skating lessons. Private ice time rentals are also available.

The indoor tennis facility contains four medium-paced tennis courts that are surrounded by an indoor walking track. The tennis courts are available to rent by the hour, and there are also lessons available through the Beaver Valley Tennis Association.

Outdoor Recreation

As you approach the park, you will be able to see all of the outdoor recreation facilities along Route 51 on either side of the park entrance. These facilities include four outdoor tennis courts, two basketball courts, a roller hockey rink, a skate park, and a one-mile walking trail.

Out of all of these facilities, the walking trail is by far the most popular. It provides a beautiful environment for anything from a casual stroll to an uptempo run. The track is paved, well maintained, and plenty wide enough so that you never feel constrained.

Fishing at Brady’s Run Lake

The lake in the middle of Brady’s Run Park is a popular location for fishing, particularly during trout season. On the opening day of trout season, you will find an unbelievable amount of anglers casting their lines out into the well-stocked lake. However, at most other times of the year, this is a very peaceful place for a relaxing day of fishing.

The Lodge & Picnic Shelters

One of the most popular things to do at Brady’s Run Park is rent one of the picnic shelters or the lodge for a family party, graduation party, or even a wedding. The lodge is a beautifully renovated building that contains indoor bathrooms and and indoor kitchen. Each of the 15 picnic shelters offer picnic tables, electricity, and a charcoal grill.

Other Park Activities

Brady’s Run Park is the perfect place to pursue all types of outdoor activities. In addition to these commonly used facilities, there is also a 5-field baseball/softball complex that hosts many local leagues, a horse arena, a fenced-in dog park, and a nearly unlimited number of hiking/mountain bike trails.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful walking trail, a great place to host a family picnic, or a way to pursue some other type of outdoor interest, there is almost certainly a way to do so at Brady’s Run Park. Not only is it Beaver County’s largest park, it is also Beaver County’s most popular park for just that reason!
