Spring is finally in the air, warmer weather is finally here, and you all know what that means!  Outdoor happy hour season!

Whether you just want to grab a drink after work and share a couple apps, have dinner out on the water, or listen to a live band, the County is full of fun options for outdoor drinking and entertainment.

Also, please note that I’m NOT trying to be a snob because the majority of these are located in Bridgewater.  It’s only because most of the bars with outdoor seating are located down there on the river! Happy drinking!

10.  Sal’s – Chippewa

While their outdoor space is very small, they have a great happy hour with daily drink, appetizer and dinner specials.  They have a variety of flavored mules that they advertise, and I can tell you first-hand that the raspberry is phenomenal!

9.  Plated & Poured – Bridgewater

Known for their bourbon, craft beers, and signature cocktails, Plated & Poured is the newest Bridgewater happy hour staple.  Their outdoor area is fenced in and fun.  Go enjoy a game of corn hole while you sip on their latest brew.

8.  Barney’s – Aliquippa

Their food is to-die-for, and their drinks are very reasonable.  They’re also one of the only bars in the lower County that have outdoor seating.  Stop by for a great happy hour if you’re in the ‘Quip!

7.  Oak Arbor Grille – Bridgewater

With a beautiful patio and outdoor seating, Oak Arbor Grille has a fantastic view of the river that you can enjoy while you grab a few after-work drinks.

6.  Z-Pub – Chippewa

Z-Pub is a great spot in Chippewa to sip a few drinks outside with their larger covered patio.  Their happy hour drink selection is fantastic, and their appetizers are sooooo good you’re going to need more than one!

5.  Thursday’s – Bridgewater

It’s always rocking down at Thursdays with some of the best beer specials around.  They recently expanded their outdoor area and have live bands on most weekend nights throughout the summer, including The Clarks!

4.  Mario’s Dockside – Bridgewater

Arguably my favorite spot down on the river, Mario’s has great food, great drinks, and the perfect outdoor set-up with their tiki bar out on the deck, string lights, and a lot of live entertainment.

3.  Paradise Pub – Center

Tables in the sand, corn hole, volleyball, DRINKS… what else could you possibly want in a happy hour?  They also rotate 16 beers on tap, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.  Stop by for Taco Night on Wednesday or Wing Night on Thursday and catch a game while you drink a few.

2.  Roots – Rochester

I am absolutely obsessed with this place and how it’s still flying under the radar is beyond me.  They’re only open Friday and Saturday nights and that exclusivity makes me crave it even more!  With signature bourbon and whiskey cocktails, home grown herbs, and the coolest brick courtyard to sip your drinks in- Roots is a MUST TRY if you haven’t been there yet!

1. Kelly’s Riverside Saloon – Bridgewater

The real reason I have Kelly’s at number one is obviously the atmosphere.  If I can go somewhere with sand under my feet and a palm tree over my head, I’m going to.  Their island vibes, live music, and great happy hour specials make it such a great spot to wet your whistle in the summer time!
