  • I Really Enjoy Thrift Shopping “I really enjoy thrift shopping. I’m getting more into it at my older age. I’m only 31, but it’s like more therapeutic than just hangin out. I have a 3 year old and a 6 year old and just building my home and giving them a home is more important to me at this point […]

  • I’m Moving to Beaver County Because I Like the People “I’m moving to Beaver County because I like the people. Everyone that’s come in [to Beez Cafe] today has been very friendly. Where I’m from they aren’t really as kind and sweet as they are here. Coming here has been very nice, very positive, and welcoming.” Brianne Kovacs Brianne is a freelance photographer in the […]

  • It’s Good to Just Be Able to Give Something Back “Today is important because we need to know how many people are walking the streets and how many people need help. Just to be able to bring them some food and clothes. Too bad it couldn’t be more than one day. It’s very gratifying. It’s nice to be able to give something back. TRAILS Ministry […]

  • Our Church is Ministry Partners with TRAILS Ministry “Our church is ministry partners with TRAILS Ministry. Today is important because the Point-in-Time Census allows us learn a lot about where to steward resources that we have as a community. It also helps with awareness of how our church and other churches and ministries can be involved in trying to make a difference and […]

  • We Are in the Process of Closing as a Worship Community “I am the closing Pastor for the First Christian Church in Beaver Falls. As such, I’m coordinating and organizing the contents of this building. We are in the process of closing as a worshiping community. As a part of that, we have to liquidate our assets. This congregation was incorporated in 1886-87, and they bought […]

  • I Like Being a Part of the History of Beaver Falls “I work for the church, I live in Beaver Falls, and I’m part of a lot of different things going on. Stuff like this excites me because people have been here, as a congregation, for over 100 years. I’m excited to continue that tradition by having another church kinda take over their building. So right […]

  • It’s About Helping Them Get Stable “Today we are volunteering for the homeless, trying to get a count and seeing what we can do to help them. It’s important to help them because it’s not fair. Just because they are struggling doesn’t mean they have to be out in the cold, freezing.  Well that and because there’s so many resources that […]

  • We Take Away Some of Those Initial Biases “The TRAILS mission is to work with individuals impacted by incarceration. Whether it’s them, the family, or the entire community. It’s located in Beaver Falls, but we work with the entire county and surrounding areas. • We See Homelessness in a Different Way Everyday in Beaver County “This is the Point-in-Time Homelessness Survey. It’s part of a national count to get a better feel for what homelessness looks like in our nation.
