In these economic times our finances are one of the primary stressors in our lives. In fact, a recent report found that 53% of employees say that financial stress affects their job performance. Couple that with the report that 69% of Americans have less than $1,000 in the bank and we realize that we need to find ways to get financial education.
With that said, the Ambridge Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce our first Money Matters Financial Symposium. The event will be held on Sunday, March 11th, 2018 at Paramount Co-Op located at 233 Merchant St. in Ambridge. The Symposium will occur from 2pm to 5pm and will be free and open to the public.
Included in the event will be local businesses offering their advice and expertise in a number of areas and how they can save people money or make their dollar go further and work harder. In addition, we will be hosting 5 free seminars during the event as well. Those will include: “Planning for Retirement” and “Organizing Your Financial Life” (2:15pm – 3:00pm), “You Can Buy a Home!” and “Smart Ways to Save on Insurance” (3:15pm – 4:00pm), and “Maximizing Your Tax Refund” (4:15pm).
