When I first received the request to profile this house at 104 Watson Trail Road in Chippewa, I had to pull up a Google map to figure out exactly where it was located. I had never heard of Watson Trail Road, and I am not very familiar with anything off of the main roads in this part of Beaver County.
After plugging the address into my Google Maps app, I realized that this house was located just minutes from the Chippewa exit on I-376, so despite my lack of knowledge of the area, this house is certainly not hard to find. Sure enough, only a couple of turns from the exit, I arrived at 104 Watson Trail, which is a side road in a very nice neighborhood that I never knew existed.

The Host’s Kitchen
My sister loves to host just about any kind of party, event, or holiday at her house. One of her biggest frustrations right now is that her kitchen is off to the side of her house, while her guests tend to congregate on the other side of the house in the living room area. That problem does not exist in this house, because the kitchen is the focal point of everything right in the heart of this house.
As you enter the front door, you can’t help but notice the angled hallway shooting off to your right. This hallway leads you into the kitchen, and the angle accents the enormous angled island in the middle of the kitchen. This thing is so big, it looks like you took two normal Beaver County sized kitchen islands and stuck them together. The same angled countertop look is mirrored in a countertop along an interior wall of the kitchen, showing that this creative floorplan was well thought out.
The kitchen contains two bar stools located on one side of the angled island, but then there is another set of barstools along a high counter in the adjoining dining area that also leads out onto the deck. This allows the person who is doing the actual cooking to be literally surrounded by their guests. The kitchen is truly the focal point in this home, and my sister would love that.
The Gazebo Deck
Heading out the back door of the kitchen’s dining area, you will find yourself on a large, upper level deck. This deck offers multiple levels to make things interesting, and also has a built-in gazebo. It also overlooks a beautiful wooded area and a professionally landscaped back yard.
Other Great Features
Moving back inside, the living room has a vaulted ceiling and includes a staircase that allows us to make our way up to the four bedrooms. There is a really cool custom ceiling built into the master bedroom that you have to see to really appreciate.
While my sister would love the entertaining aspects of this house, her husband would be less than thrilled by kitchen design. The selling point for him would be the finished basement that is perfectly designed and already wired for a home theater. There is also a great exercise area all set up and ready to go.
As for me, you probably know by now that my biggest concern when looking at houses is finding a place to write. In this house, there is a great first floor office that would be perfect for just that. Especially with the full length windows that are featured throughout this level of the house.
As we learned a few weeks ago from Melissa and Amy, most people in Beaver County prefer to live right in the communities that they grew up in. Chippewa is a bit outside my comfort zone, but this house at 104 Watson Trail is so nice that I might be willing to make an exception. You should see it for yourself.
