798 speyer avenue

It would probably be fair to criticize me for favoring homes in Monaca, but from as objective a viewpoint as I can find, I just don’t think there is a better place to live. When you consider the close proximity to all of the great amenities of Beaver County, the reasonable taxes, and the excellent school district, it is hard for me to understand why many of these houses are listed for sale in the first place!

This house at 798 Speyer Avenue, Monaca is one of those houses that has just about anything your could possibly want. It sits on a corner lot, has plenty of room, a huge detached garage, and an awesome outdoor space that is fenced in for privacy. On top of that, the entire house has been completely redone with some of the finest craftsmanship I’ve seen in a local remodel. This is practically a brand new home that was created out of an existing structure!

The Stunning Kitchen

When you first walk through the door, your eyes have to options: take in the dramatic staircase entryway or focus directly on the gorgeous kitchen through the dining room pass-through. My eyes went for the kitchen, so let’s start there.

Like everything in this house, the kitchen has been completely redone. It contains beautiful black countertops that contrast lighter wood cabinets that match all of the wood trim throughout the entire house. The kitchen also features the stainless appliances that are so popular today.

The big selling point for me in the kitchen is the veggie sink that is built into the peninsula in the middle of the kitchen. My wife is constantly washing and cooking vegetables, and she would absolutely go nuts over this feature that offers the ability to wash and cut in the same place.

The Staircase Entryway

The other option for your eyes when you enter the house is to focus on the beautiful staircase that is built with the same light wood look that is consistent throughout the kitchen and the rest of the house. In addition to the great wood railings, you can also see beautiful exposed brick pillars that go from the floor to the ceiling. I’m a sucker for exposed brick, and this brick is a stunning compliment to the wood trim.

Like any great remodel, this house also has beautifully finished hardwood floors. The floors are just a bit darker than the wood trim, which makes them a great contrast next to the entryway staircase!

Unbelievable Outdoor Space

Another huge selling point for me is the fact that this home has a fantastic outdoor space. Because it is a corner lot, there is tons of space to work with. That space just happens to be fenced in with a large wooden privacy fence. Like everything else in this house, the fence looks brand new and well built.

That privacy fence will come in handy when you and your family are relaxing or cooking out on the large covered patio off of the back of the house. This cement slab patio is completely covered by a solid roof that makes your outdoor space functional rain or shine!

Now that you are as sold on this house as I am, here is the icing on the cake: it has a master suite, complete with a sitting area, bathroom, and walk-in closet. Sold? Me too. At a listing price of $175,000, Trulia says you could get a mortgage for $878/month with 20% down. That’s less than $1,000/month for a home that is not just move-in ready, but move-in PERFECT.
