Are you looking for a fun outdoor event this fall? The 24th Annual Run for Humanity 5K/10K is being held on September 17th in Beaver!
This event, sponsored by VENA Health and Wellness, raises money for Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County. You can challenge yourself with a 10K or 5K run, or choose a more relaxed pace with the 5K Walk.
This is a family friendly event, and you are welcome to bring strollers and pets on leashes. Kids 12 and under can participate in the 1 Mile Fun Run and other kid’s activities. There is something for everyone! Festivities start at 8:00 am, and the first event, the Fun Run, begins at 8:30.
All money raised goes to support Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County. Habitat Beaver County’s mission is to eliminate poverty housing by empowering people to change their lives. We work with low to moderate income individuals and families to build or renovate safe and affordable homes. Throughout the years, the money raised through this event has been instrumental in helping us to complete 55 homes in Beaver County!
You can register for the Run for Humanity at https://runsignup.com/runforhumanity. Registration is just $30 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. You can even get a discounted rate if you register by July 31!
If running or walking isn’t for you, but you don’t want to miss out on the fun, please consider volunteering for set up/clean up on the day of the race. Call 724-846-1630 or email Walk@BeaverCountyHabitat.org for details on volunteering.
